"I really enjoyed my stay at Surfbreak B&B. The place was peaceful, clean, and surrounded by beautiful greenery. The atmosphere felt very relaxing, and the location in Cabarete was perfect. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better."

Overall, my stay was great. The only small downside was that the Wi-Fi could sometimes be a little slow, but it didn’t affect the stay too much.

Bathroom was small and dated. This could do with a renovation. The room was big enough, but could get cramped if you were there longer. Not much space for luggge.

"The property was generally quiet and peaceful. The apartment was clean and well kept. Our host was excellent!"

We had to battle ants in the apartment. The beach had sea urchins and weed. Lots of noises during the day due to multiple renovations taking place.

The desk in the room had a musty smell. I am sure this happens with a humid climate but it may need to be taken out of the room, cleaned and aired out.

"Excellent hospitality and a very warm welcome from Binni. The room was well maintained and clean. The location was excellent, just a few meters away from the cliff. Loved my stay there."

Fans and ACs were working a bit intermittent. Room next to the main road was noisy. But they immediately upgraded us / changed our room, so it was solved easily.

"The location is just outside of Portsmouth on a very quite beach with amazing snorkeling from the beach, just swim to the right of the old pier to access the coral reef. Air conditioning in the bedroom was very nice."

We were expecting the cottages to be a bit rustic, and they were. However, the tub/shower was in rough shape and the kitchen sink hot water handle was stripped so it took a bit to figure out how to turn it on. Minor issues really for all that was great about the location and property.

Road noise

"Good value, comfortable sofa, living space and bed. Clean bathroom also. Close to beaches for snorkeling. Nice management. They cleaned our rooms everyday, did the dishes even."

Bathroom curtain was old, dirty, ragged, and just stapled up. It brought down the feeling in that room. This is an easy fix.

"Easy access, friendly staff. Nice and quiet stay with good breakfast."

The minimum time for sauna is 3 hours, which would've been excessive for us. Just a few rounds to wind down after a long day would've been nice but it's on us that we didn't do the homework about sauna renting and rules.

"The place was amazing. It was my first time booking a place like this and I didn't expect much. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms were great. I rented bedsheets and they were also clean. Wifi worked properly in all the rooms and TV had lots of channels. there was kitchen stuff that I could use and everything worked perfectly"

It's a bit far from city center and from restaurants, so few options for vegetarians like me.

The beach and town could be cleaner . Too much plastic and rubbish on the streets
