"Very comfortable, spacious, and private. Location was safe, gated, and welcoming. Sitting areas, balcony, and kitchen were available. The hosts were just simply AMAZING. We so enjoyed spending time with them and conversing as we were able. Issa welcomed us with a big smile and much kindness. They were also very helpful to us concerning food for our brief stay. We cannot recommend Issa’s House more highly. We loved it, and them."

"I loved the family hosting so much. They were so helpful, friendly and supportive. So very accommodating. My friend had some crazy blisters from a previous hike and the daughter in the family helped bandage them - and Oscar also tried to let her use his hiking boots. We also helped cook dinner and ate with the family which was a very meaningful experience for us. We loved every second. Best hostel experience in our 2-3 weeks in South America."

"We’re really glad we chose to stay here and not in central Batumi. We highly recommend this part of the city — it's peaceful, surrounded by nature, and the sea is just across the road. Meanwhile, the city center is currently full of construction, traffic, and crowds. Here, everything was calm and relaxing. The location is great — close to the train station and the botanical garden. The beach nearby was quiet, with very few people. The water and the shore were clean — a big contrast to the busy and noisy beaches in central Batumi. There was a convenient shared kitchen on our floor, where we cooked and had dinner on the terrace. Тhere was a coffee pot and coffee available in the kitchen. Other guests were on the same floor, but it never felt crowded. The host and her family were incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to assist. Cleaning was done daily on our floor, and"

Minor issues: during our stay, the washing machine on our floor wasn’t working, but we were able to use the one downstairs, and it was soon fixed. At one point the toilet wouldn’t flush, but it turned out the lid just needed to be adjusted — a quick fix.

"Breakfast was not part of the deal, but was invited to either a lunch or dinner three (!) times. Congenial conversation, great atmosphere. Alain gave me a guided tour of the city, again something that is not a standard part of a BnB deal."

"The standard breakfast consisted of eggs, sausages and toast with your choice of tea or coffee. Eggs are scrambled however if you prefer your eggs boiled Claudia is happy to oblige. The portions are very good and everything was satisfactory"

We enjoyed everything about this homestay

"Beautiful, clean and an amazing place to stay which is well worth the price. The property is located in the middle of the island, close to shops, restaurants and bakeries. Mrs. St. Rose is warm and courteous and answered all my questions, she even gave me a tour of the many fruit trees that she has on property. In speaking with her, I found out that there is a 2 bedroom apartment on the premises as well and I was allowed to see it. Now this apartment is stunning, so huge that it can fit at least 8ppl and it has air-conditioning. The property also has a generator which is a plus, this is nice to know for my next trip with my family. I am extremely glad that I did my research and found this place. It is definitely a 10 out of 10."

"Very modern, the bed was super comfortable! Outside is terrace, where You can sit and chill. Very calm place. The owners are just gorgeous and very sweet!"

"I visited 4 islands in Polynesia, and this was the BEST one for many reasons. The staff-owners are kind and welcoming and multilingual. The place is serene, remote, and un-touristy. I felt like I could actually relax, as a result. I read, explored the clear and warm waters, napped, walked around, took tours, and enjoyed a slow pace for a few days. It was beautiful. The property itself is well and lovingly maintained. The windows and balcony doors had no screens so the breezes swept through gently and unencumbered. It was like being bathed in winds. (If you need it, there is a mosquito net in the room). There are cute little doggies that greet you and every boat as you pull up and they watch you as you sail away. Pretty place, scenic."

It suited me just fine, but some people might not like that there is no wifi in the rooms and there are no tvs either. (THERE IS WIFI 24/7 in the main lodge). It’s really a place to unplug, read, write, and swim and explore.

"Ely is super helpful and nice, the property is in the middle of the island so gives you privacy and is very quiet and good for relaxing. The kitchen has everything you need, I just cooked my breakfast there but pretty sure you can cook your daily 3-5 meals. The terrace space is beautiful for reading, chill and to see the new year fireworks :)"

Is walking distance from the beach, no issues for me but can be for some visitors. Gives a contrast from the tourist vs local lifestyle cause you are in the middle of the island, unfortunately local side is dirty :/

There was a pee smell. Probably, from a prior guest. However, the place seemed very clean besides the smell.

"Quiet, clean, comfortable, and cozy. It has everything you need. Convenient location, convenient parking. Extremely nice and hospitable hosts. They helped us with everything we needed and advised us on convenient routes. This is a terrific deal for the price. It was a pleasure to stay here, thank you very much!"

"Everything. Lovely hosts and clean house. The beds are super comfortable; we woke up to beautiful garden view outside the window. It was considerate to prepare various drinks (although we didn’t have chance to enjoy) aside from milk in the fridge, as well as candies and banana muffins (delicious)."
