"It is like coming home, after long time, you feel there. Location is the best in town, in a very heart of the city, but also quiet, not by the busy street. The room is very nice and cozy, all facilieties are very good. There is nice caffe downstairs, must visit! All guesthouse and the details is made with heart. Hosts are warm hearted, intelligent and have knowledge about the surroundings. I spent wonderfull time, and will come back for sure!"

"Perfect location - meters from the beach and a bit away from the centre of beachfront which made it slightly quieter during the huge crowds that descend on the beach for New Year. Restaurant on beach is amazing - excellent meals. Once at hotel you can walk everywhere with ease."

We booked a room for 3, but don't think it was of the same quality as the other rooms at the hotel. Our room was right next to the bar / reception and while it was communicated as having a 'sea view' - what wasn't mentioned is that it overlooks the restaurant first, with the sea behind it. Because of where the room was situated, it was also very dark (a long thin room) with little natural ventilation, so a bit stuffy. The bathroom was tiny for 3 people. But we made the best of it and the benefit was best access to wifi (based at restaurant) and also quickest access to beach. We would definitely choose this hotel above all others when visiting Tofo again - BUT would make sure we get a better room. It wasn't a room you really wanted to spend time in.

"The property was a clean, well maintained historic reflection of the past. It is located close to the ferry. The staff was very welcoming, and friendly. There were many choices for breakfast and it was delicious. There was a sauna on the property which we enjoyed."

The bathrooms and showers were kept very clean, but they are located up the hill in a different building from where we slept. We came to appreciate the peaceful nightly trek .

"We loved the care and advice from the manager, Mercedes. She answered all of our questions and every request was quickly handled. The casita was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed and it was like staying right in the jungle! It felt safe and secure and was quiet. Highly recommend to other travellers!"

"This is a very affordable hotel. Convenient location. We were visiting friends and they recommended it. The staff was great and super responsive. The common area has a great vibe. Lots of young people. We are older so that was not so important to us. I would stay again!"

We thought the mattress and pillows were hard but we managed ( we are an older couple). When I gave the owner feedback she said we should’ve said something and she would’ve changed them out which is super. We don’t like to complain but it’s nice to know they want to take care of you.

"Clean room, shower was hot, nice decorations, comfortable. The staff were very kind and friendly. The overnight staff member, I could have hugged him he was so kind to me when I came in sick from the bus ride. The location is near the main plaza with good restaurants and stores within a 2-4 min walk and about a 10 min walk to Lake Titicaca where the boats are. Great room for the price and breakfast was good too."

I didn't have much to complain about here.

"It is really decent. Not the best, but very sufficient for me. For 50$, I definitely got more than I expected. Free internet and electricity and kitchen and washing machine."

Not too clean (still very acceptable and I would return). Single bed (would loved to have 2 separate beds). Air conditioner is fairly weak.

The shower didn’t work properly, but that can be easily fixed.

The rooms were a little dark. It would be nice, at breakfast, if they told you that you could order eggs. We didn't learn until we asked on day 3.

"The manager Joseph is excellent and very friendly and makes breakfast a personal experience. It is definately great value! Much nicer than the newly built hotels in the area."

Check-in was lucky more than smooth. I happened to arrive at the same time as another member of staff, otherwise, I did not recieve any check-in information. This made me a little anxious, but actually everything was fine. The have a phone number on the front door, which is clear if they are not there.

"The property was super quiet, the bed is like a literal cloud, a fridge perfect to fill your drinks, complimentary tea and coffee. Not too forget the amazing pool."

"We liked absolutely everything! Great location, very comfortable bungalows with comfortable bed, welcoming staff who go out of their way to make the most of the experience. Nice property with sun chairs, benches under a shelter, a jetty to get out to the deeper water for a swim. It’s located on the quiet west coast of the island (which we absolutely liked!). There is not much around, but supermarket 15-20 mins walking away, great pizza place that delivers is not far. Free kayak and bike rental. Feels very private; and we actually came back as we liked it so much."

The only drawback was the heater kept switching off & I had to get the staff to turn it on a few times

This is staff-less hotel which raises some minor concerns around safety and customer service. We were lucky not to have any issues, but it felt strange not to have some one available for questions.

The house is from 1580 so very old inside you can feel the big walls and up to date renovations. Home made food, very good and good breakfast.

"We had a very pleasant 2-night stay. Service was very friendly and personalized. We ate at the hotel both nights and enjoyed the dinners, which highlighted local cuisine and flavors. A great value, and a much nicer experience for us than a mega-resort."

Breakfast could use a little more variety, and maybe some fresh fruits.

"I′ve met two receptionists. They are very polite and kind even though I don't speak Spanish at all. Moreover the night view from the roof is amazing. Hammocks are also provided there. Good vibes!"

"The room was nice, spacious, plenty of room for my family and I. Breakfast was great, and the water views from the room and restaurant were great. My kids could go swimming in the pool, or go snorkeling directly from the property which was a surprise bonus."

While the kitchen was ok, there were two issues. One, the water was constantly so hot that to wash anything was scary. No cold water there, why? Also, while there was a coffee maker, there was no way to put it on the stove, but the stove didn't work anyway. No gas. That was a disappointment. So, there needs to be cold water in the kitchen sink, and if making the cooktop available, please ensure the gas is on.

"Julian was a magnificent host. He helped me arrange an excellent taxi driver who got me to the airport safely and quickly for less money than I was expecting. I got mugged (at 11 am) in Georgetown, so be mindful that it isn't the safest place. Don't travel with lots of valuables on you. I was able to fight off my attackers, so I kept the money and phone I was carrying. Anyway, Julian was a great place to stay."

"The location is good and in close proximity to restaurants, shopping malls and some tourist sites like the twin towers. The building is very secure and in a safe location. Movements are also since everything is in walking distance and access to taxis, buses and trains in easy."

The studio apartment does not have a cleaning service nor a vacuum cleaner provided during the duration of your stay.

"Kathy and Luke (her husband) are incredible people. Very helpful and their guest house is simple but clean and have everything you need: kitchen, fan, hot water, privacy l. I pick these guesthouse because was close to the dive shop and I could walk in the morning to it."
