"Absolutely loved this hotel !! If there was a rating beyond 5 stars, would have definitely given 5+ stars. The location was just perfect, just 2 mins walk from Kamala beach. The hotel staff was just so courteous, hospitality is exceptionally great. They make you feel at home. I forgot some stuff in the hotel room, the staff was just so kind and helpful, they mailed my package all the way to USA! The suite was amazing - luxurious, with ocean view and a relaxing plunge pool. The breakfast buffet was gorgeous, enjoyed the spread. Overall perfect in all aspects, excellent stay, recommended to all my friends."

Everything was great, the 2nd bedroom could be more lighted.

"The location is great -- just 5 minutes to the beach and close to the main cafés and restaurants. The apartment is a good size and has a blackout system, so you don’t get sunlight coming in. The hotel also has two of the best restaurants in town -- Bottega and Plaza -- and they are fantastic."

I was not provided with a tea kettle or a hair dryer, as listed in the room description. Also, you can hear people walking to their rooms and staff talking while cleaning.

Suggest a place to put used crockery from breakfast rather than just on the counter, especially if multiple guests. Maybe a bowl.

There was nothing I did not like.

Its definitely more of a "hang out" hotel for locals to come swim or watch football. It will probably be a little rowdy on some weekends. The staff seemed a little confused how to handle overnight guests.

"Very good value in expensive Djibouti. Staff is very helpful. Breakfast is included and good although not much variation. Big shop close by and the Ethiopian restaurant looks maybe not so fancy but the dishes are superb."

"We stayed at Hotel Novak for one night due to family related situation. Room was spacious, beds very comfortable. They serve breakfast from 7 A.M. until 11 A.M. which we found very useful. Staff was great and very helpful."

There was a strange noise, I think from nearby Factory, which disturb good night sleep 😁.

"Was a good place to stay on short notice going to the formula one race which was about 35 minutes away. The staff is really nice and helpful."

My biggest negative about the property was the bathroom was so tiny. The door couldn’t open up the whole way so if you are a bigger person I don’t recommend staying here. I am not that big of a person and felt crammed.

Difficult to get to (rough bumpy narrow roads)but worth it once there.

The guy at check out seemed frustrated with my questions about how to get my passport stamped. I speak French so it wasn’t the language barrier. I did figure it out tho!

Hotel is a bit outdated, but it is clean. WiFi didn't work well.

que pase calor en la habitación, no habian prendido el aire porque decia que iba a bajar la temperatura, pero la habitacion tenia una ventana hacia un pulmon donde no ingresaba aire, por lo tanto, no pudimos descansar muy bien por el calor.

"I liked that the room was spacious, with enough space to place luggage comfortably. It did not feel cramped and was larger than rooms in the city. The accommodation is located near Matsumoto shops."

The parking was limited, so I had to use a nearby public parking for 500 yen, which was not far from the accommodation.

"I loved being right by the water on our balcony listening to the crashing waves. The swimming was excellent (other than when a group of young men stood with beer bottles in hand in the water, blocking the way on the clear path leading out beyond the stones). I liked the casual Caribbean “non trendy” room with good basic plumbing and windows that opened. I liked the availability of staff who asked if we needed anything."

Our room was next to the restaurant where there was noisy off-key karaoke (well really just yelling) on a couple of nights, making me have to shut my windows. I do not like to use AC (especially when temperatures never went above 28C) so it was a disappointment to have to close windows because of noise. I didn’t like the coffee in the room.

Taxi service even when we called ahead was slow. Couldn’t get a water bottle from The front desk at $1275 a night. The hotel is far from Hamilton so plan to spend $50-$100 per day to leave the resort for activities.

The location is a bit far from the city center, so transportation can be limited without a car. However, the hotel provides a transportation if you need.

The rooms are a good size and there was a nice deck. The bathroom had a pretty strong mildew smell and the shower was quite weak.

The hourly rate concept is honestly brilliant, especially for travelers in transit who just need a comfortable place to recharge. Convenient, practical, and run by great people. The paperwork process is a little much so maybe upgrade that. Otherwise, perfect!"
