"A great hotel, more suitable for families but me and my boyfriend enjoyed every moment. Great selection of food and the hotel has so many things to do that you don’t need to leave."

You can feel that the hotel isn’t new, the tv and the air conditioning was very old and sometimes didn’t work but the staff helped us and were very nice.

The only thing was the elevator was making too much noise but one of the staff gave us another room, which I really appreciated.

We stayed two nights in overwater bungalow, lively, then two nights in beach bungalow, also lovely, except no coffee maker, only tea. When we asked if we could get a coffee maker, we're toldtbeyareonly available to over water bungalows. 😪

"There was a great breakfast - up to two dishes could be ordered for the selected time. The area is very well kept which should be the case for a golf field, that I could see from my window. It was silent all the time."

The only disadvantage was the cold temperature: I could not ejnjoy a table and terrace. But that is not about the great hotel. That is about November in Latvia!

"Amazing views, right on Crocodile River and the bridge leading up to Malelane Gate. Staff were very cordial, polite and did their best to cater to our queries and needs. They even had our breakfast packed on the Saturday morning when we had planned to go to Kruger early. Our accommodation was also very nice, with all necessary amenities. Food options for dinner and other meals were excellent, including buffet and a la carte. Bar was nice too. Spa was excellent."

"Majority of the staff here are very nice, welcoming, and helpful. There are a few who were a little rude however the politeness of the others outshine those interactions by far. Special mention to Triston who was very polite, patient, and insightful throughout our entire trip. Jeremiah was also very nice and helped make our trip special with his suggestions and assistance at the beach. There was also a manager whose name started with a T who welcomed us upon arrival and checked on us to ensure everything was to our liking. From the initial interactions, these staff members helped our group of 6 feel like we were regular visitors at the Verandah although this was our first stay. I would defiantly return and highly recommend a stay here. Sidebar: The food is great and well seasoned!"

The property is very large and sometimes there is a long wait to get a buggy to travel. There could be a few more shaded areas throughout the property especially when waiting for transportation.

I think everything was fine. It's an older hotel, but it's been well maintained.

A bit confusion regarding payment on the website & being told by Manager that Booking.com confirmed reservation, but payments are made at site.(Not listed on website) My payment info was given twice which was not necessary.

"I had such a lovely time there. The facilities are first rate and the staff is amazing. Everyone was so nice and so helpful. They put every effort into doing whatever was necessary to make my stay perfect. I was there kind of off season, so the spa was closed, but I wanted services, so they had someone come in for me. I had an amazing massage. The room was gorgeous, the bed was so comfortable, and I loved the shower. Breakfast was quite yummy and they had rooms service for other meals also. The boatman they had for my lake tour really took me all over the lake. The prices were reasonable, so I could relax and just enjoy the lovely place and not stress about anything."

I honestly can't think of anything. It would have been nice if their gift shop had been open, because I'd have like to buy some of the products they have in the bathroom.

The curtains didn’t open and close fully and bathtub stopper didn’t work. Ongoing pool & restaurant construction with no prior notification.

The pillow is hard, not comfy. The beach area is ok, but you can't swim. You need to walk 200 meters if you want to swim at the beach area. But too many rocks. Not really safe. Fpod is great.

No taxis nearby and no shuttle service to/from the train station. Their shuttle was in the shop the week I was staying there.

주변에 식당이없다보니 골드카드로 갔는데 식사를 그나마 괜찮은건 마젤란이었는데 3박동안 가려니 너무 질리더라구요 사이판pic처럼 좀더 다양한 레스토랑이 있었으면 좋겠어요

"The room is very spacious and is basically a whole apartment with bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen and varanda. The decoration is cozy and elegant, all in good taste. There is a small commercial area with bakery, mini market, restaurant, beauty salon, self-service laundry, and child care."

We stayed in the room above the restaurant and it was a bit noisy (chairs and tables being dragged around) during clean-up at 11:30 pm. The bathroom lacked lighting above the shower and hooks to hang the hand towels... and the towels were a bit worn out.

"The rooms are large and comfortable. The grounds are very well kept, and the pool area is wonderful. This was my third time at this property in ten years. The service was excellent."

The hotel organizes events on the grounds that go until midnight. The first night we were there, it was very loud and the noise was right in our room. The third night, there was another one. It takes away from the calm of the property to host these types of events, even on weeknights. This fact makes me reconsider staying here again because it spoils having a quiet evening in the room or hotel.

You don’t have to do any better, I like everything

"Well maintained, super friendly and helpful staff. Room was always well stocked with towels and cleaned. Nicola does a great job by the pool keeping everyone happy with towels, food and drinks. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly and the bartender was always smiling and talkative. D Richard’s steakhouse was great - Steak Diane and Filet were both excellent. Sol de Mar had good Mediterranean style food with a relaxed atmosphere. My husband and I ate here on a few occasions- pasta with lobster, veal scallopini both great choices. Close location to a number of off property restaurants that are excellent."

The pads on the loungers are very old, worn thin and extremely uncomfortable to sit on. Chef’s Table wasn’t good- we ate only one dinner there and the lobster cake and fish were dried out. The pasta dish with Shrimp had the full shell on the shrimp still making eating very messy. Lobster Fest on the beach was disappointing. The lobster was dried out as it had been sitting under lamps for some time. We waited 30 minutes past our reservation time to finally get a table after speaking with the manager in charge. Very unorganized.

The heater in my room was a bit faulty but they would have fixed before I left but they have good maintenance culture

"this place is heaven. the beachfront cabin we had was so close to the beach. the bay is so quiet clam and serene. there is a coral reef a short walk from the lodge. we snorkelled with turtles! this place is so relaxing and wonderful. would recommend!!!"

more variation in the food on offer would have been nice

"The hotel is very nice, located right next to Petra’s main entrance. Based on the staff’s recommendation, we took a taxi (there is also a shuttle) to the other side of the park and walked from the end to the beginning. It was probably better than walking the whole long route twice 🙂"

Restaurant could have something simple for eating, too. We don't need the full menu all the time. Some fruits, cheese, cookies, for example.
