Farm Stays in the Philippines

"A cozy place to stay while traveling. Had the place to myself. The host was helpful, meeting me to let me in."

I was confused at first because there's another building with a number to call but I was staying in another area.

"Exactly what I wanted and more. Gorgeous rice fields, feels completely away from everything (but has good wifi). Quiet, beautiful. Theres a pond where you can fish with sticky rice. Many places to just sit and take it all in. Fire pit!!! Walking distance (or moto) to Kuangsi Waterfall via back path amongst the water buffalos, farmers and local life."

Very little selection for food and drinks. The first night dinner was fantastic, the second night, ordered the exact same thing and it was sooooo dissappointing. The owner addressed this and gave partial refund. There is no hot water which is a bit shocking at first. But my friends cabin didnt have any constant water pressure. Again the owner addressed issue right away. Nearby farms may be burning at times and the smoke goes right into the cabin. Unavoidable.

"We honestly loved the place—it was just fantastic. I mean, what really made it special was the landscape all around it. It’s perfectly located with those mountains surrounding it and that fresh air up there—it just makes it really unique and super pleasant. Plus, the host, Fatih, is such a kind-hearted guy. We had a lot of fun, and the kids especially loved being able to play around with the dogs and cats there. It was just great."

We had a really nice overall experience and definitely enjoyed our time there! Just a few little things to share for future guests. The pool area itself was very clean and well-maintained, but the water could have used a bit more frequent cleaning since it wasn’t super clear. Our host mentioned that it’s probably just from sunscreen that guests use, which makes sense. Otherwise, everything else around the pool was in great shape. One small note: there was a family that kind of took over all the lounge chairs, so it felt a bit tricky for us to find a spot by the pool. Just something to keep in mind if you’re visiting during a busy time. Also, the road leading up to the Eco-farm hotel is currently under construction, so just be aware that you’ll be driving on some rough, sandy paths. We did get a little lost the first time and had to find our way back, so just a heads-up for anyone driving a rental car. And if you’re staying more than a few days, just know the breakfast can get a little repetitive, even though it’s really tasty. Finally, having a small fridge in the room would have been super convenient. We might have missed that detail in the description. Thank you Fatih!

"Ulrica is an exceptional host of a truly unique property. Her farm is located in the heart of my great-grandfather’s home/farms, so I loved being there. But I think it’s also for anyone who loves cows and appreciates working dairy farm. The beds were extremely comfortable so the night was restful and the sleep was deep. Also, Ulrica went above and beyond to help answer my questions."
