"Rubens and his staff were excellent, they were kind and welcoming. I also went on Rubens wine tour, which was informative and enabled me to see severla key locations outside of the capital city. The private room I had was clean and pleasant and I had a good stay."

"I came from Mumbai to Addis Ababa, then took a bus from Addis to Bahir Dar. This hostel was a gem with the value you pay. I asked them to buy the return bus ticket, pick up to the bus station in the early morning and they happily did. The best part was they helped me get an excellent tour package of the Lake Tana and the Blue Niles Waterfall, with very good price for one day, as I was tight with my schedule. The tour went very well with excellent and safe vehicles (car and boat), great guides, and all important places. The room I got has a queen size bed, shower and toilet attached, with good privacy and cleanliness. I stayed two nights and will do it again when I have a chance.Please support this property as well as the Bahir Dar. They are waiting and very happy to serve you to the best of their abilities."

The showers can be a bit bigger, but not an issue.

It is on the 2nd floor, and no lift, luckily i didnt bring heavy lugage.. also the staff service is amazing they offer to help to bring the lugage.

The location was right in the heart of the city, close to all important places, you can almost be everywhere within a couple of minutes by walk. What impressed us was the value for money that this accommodation offers. For just 12.5 € per bed, you get far more than you would expect. This place truly provides a beautiful experience at an affordable price."

Acoustics. You could hear everything. No AC in my room, but it wasn't necessary either as it was not a very hot day.

"Bedding and towels and shower supplies and kitchenware, microwave, sugar, and a welcome pack of foods and hot drinks were all provided. Extremely friendly staff. Great bar and restaurant for dining later in the day, great venue."

I did not like the fact that there was no bathroom in the dorm rooms. The toilets and showers were right next to the dorms but still, you had to go outside to get to them.

Our room was very hot. There was a little fan but unless we had the door open it did little to cool the room.

Male shared bathroom needs a some hooks to hang clothes while using the bathroom.

"Riad is beautiful and is very comfortable with all kinds of amenities. You can easily spend the whole day inside if you wanna take a break from the hustle bustle. I took services like facial massage and full body massage. They were very well delivered. The staff is friendly and helping. Definitely recommend it."

Rooms on the lower floors can be slightly noisy since they’re right in from of the pool but the people were very respectful so didn’t have much trouble.
