Our double room was small.

this could be improved: -the beach has a lot of potential, buiding a nice peer with stairs for a sea swim would make it much better -there isnt enough shade in the garden and the sun is punishing -the trees on the beach have fruits that hurt when falling, as part of garden maintenance they should be shuffled to drop the fruits upfront -the restaurant options both for breakfast, meals and snacks, leaves out a lot of the good things of Sao Tome. Look at your competitor Riu, for instance, they always have a section with local treats

"The location is excellent, just a short walk to Skansin and Tinganes, making it a perfect base for exploring Tórshavn. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room only had a view of the rock wall in the backyard, so there wasn’t much natural light, but we didn’t mind. If you’re looking for better views, it’s worth booking an upgraded room."

Breakfast was good: not exceptional, but it had everything we needed to start the day. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

"Wonderful staff, beautiful Colonial style rooms and central lobby, and a fantastic location just off Plaza de Armas. Beautiful restaurant menu, and great breakfast buffet. They even packed a big breakfast bag for our Macchu Picchu day trip."

"Very good location, in the city center. The check in was super easy and fast, all digital. Practical when you arrive late. The building is an old prison restructured in a hotel, it was interesting to see and experience."

The size of the room we had, was a bit smaller as imagined.

"I was very surprised to see how clean the room was. Beds wete extremely comfortable, big and nice pillows. It was quiet, great selection for breakfast. Amazing price to quality ratio."

The bathroom was cold in the morning but that is really a minor thing.

Lobby area by bar or library carpet looks dirty or filthy -needs newer carpet or change color to brighten the room , I was bitten a lot by mosquitoes while I was seated at the lobby for few minutes, I told the front desk and showed them my mosquito bites and they seem like no clue what I was saying. Hallways to the room needs some updates looks old but it’s fine, it’s clean.

"Beautiful area. Breakfast was included and a great selection. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Room was compact but had all necessary essentials. Pool area was great as well, mix of sun and shade. Decently walkable area, multiple restaurants are nearby, mall is maybe 10 min walk. cultural village is further but still walkable, can also access Sheba’s breast hike from there."

All is well

"Everything was excellent. The staff’s behavior was very good, especially Mr. Mohammad at the reception, and Mr. Mazan and Chef Omar in the restaurant. They were very kind and attentive, constantly checking to make sure everything was fine and quickly providing anything we needed."

However, the hotel refrigerator was empty and there was no minibar. Also, whenever we ordered something, we had to pay immediately, as it could not be charged to the room.

The only thing makes it lose points is that the electricity generator group is too close to the apartment area. In the night it disturbs sleep even though the windows are closed.

"The location was great for biking. The bike path runs across the street from the hotel. The grounds were lovely with the reserve in the back. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a lot choices. Perfect for fueling up for bike rides. Being able to rent a car on property was very convenient for exploring further out on the island."

"The location was good, close to the old bazaar and the square. The personnel was exceptionally very friendly and helpful; especially Berin at the reception. He helped us a lot."

They didn’t offer any free toiletries except for glasses and shower gels, like toothpaste, cotton swab, shower cap, etc.

"Amazing location, excelelnt staff, food was really up to standards and the beach is just amazing. They also provided us with a room to take shower on our day of leaving after a full day of beach and sunbathing."

Bed and pillows, especially pillows should be updated or provided with options. I ended up not sleeping most of the night. Plus there is a club next to the hotel and although I understand it is not their fault, it needs to be addressed. For the money we paid, it cannot be that sleep, which is the most important thing when staying in a hotel, is not comfortable.

Pretty average breakfast. Floors in rooms needed to be better cleaned.

The hotel is not soundproof, you can hear everything around… but didn’t bother me

No hot shower, which was inconvenient. Noisy installations that affected comfort (water pump, no well isolated for insects) The check-in process was a bit complicated, but since it's a family-run business, we were understanding.

"The nature, the vibe, the soviet style memories- just to let you know its not for everyone- nothing fancy, at least not at the moment. It was an exceptional experience for sure. You will like it if you go with tight mindset of travel back in time. Food in the restaurant was nice, the owner is cool and the staff is friendly. Nature around is amazing, even a bat visited us in the room:))"

It definetely needs some tune up, at least to change the bedsheets, pilows for the starters (bringing your own for now isnt a bad idea), and then fix the broken wardrobes and handles.

"Ibis is many times so and so in Europe, but this one was a positive surprise! The very friendly staff and kitchen made a late dinner even we arrived at the closing time of the restaurant! Rooms 'Ibistiny' but clean and good beds!"

"Nice and secure hotel with good restaurant and good included breakfast. Very good wifi and generator starts within seconds of a power break. TV and fridge in room. Some staff speak English. 20 minutes walk to the centre. Pool looked nice."
