Apartments in Haiti

"Great access via various public transportation. Lots of natural lights in the room and decent city/mountain view with solid curtains for evenings. Lightings are separated and controllable in each section of the room. Microwave, fridge and a kettle make your life easy. Minimum yet functional cutlery. Victoria Park is nearby and a great children’s playground is available!"

Hair dryer cannot be used in the bathroom. There’s no dish washing tools, detergent, or tea towels.

"I stayed in multiple hotels/airbnbs on all 3 islands and this place was my favorite. Sean was a great host, very helpful and responsive. He helped arrange transportation and held my luggage before heading to the airport. The apartment was clean, had hot water (other Airbnb’s did not), and good AC. Kitchen was good for cooking basic breakfast with the provided daily eggs and baked goods. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay a short walk from the busy pier, you’ve found the perfect place."

"The size of the apartment is great. The location between Baie des citrons and Anse Vata is excellent. The snorkelling across the road at Baie des Citrons is excellent, and the aquarium nearby is excellent. There are many restaurants nearby and it is a short drive (or medium walk) to get to a supermarket."

The weather was hot and there is only air conditioning in the bedrooms. It was hard to keep the apartment cool and the air conditioners struggled to keep up. The apartment itself is starting to be quite dated. When it was windy outside the balcony doors had a noisy whistle that was disruptive.

"The location is great, lift, numerous cafe, shop, parking all are close to hotel. The apartment is rather spacious. The room was very warm, which is not always the case on Andora."

Only two minor things. We stayed ad couple, and there was room with two beds, but beds a slide over floor from minor movements, so you can't sleep together. The show hangs, a bit used. So you need to keep shoower in your hands if you use max water pressure.

It was challenging to find the location and the entrance to the building because the entrance was not 'on the street' but was 'inside' a courtyard. The pictures that the agent sent were not that exact. It was also a challenge because I did not have mobile service so I couldn't use google maps. After I booked the apartment, I made a number of attempts over the course of at least two days to contact the rental company via their WhatsApp number to ascertain the exact address. It took, I believe, me threatening to give them a bad review to get them to respond. Finally, the agent told me that the site that I booked wouldn't be available for the days that I requested. If so, then why wasn't that apartment blocked for those days? When I finally was able to contact the rental company agent, she said that another, similar apartment, near the original one, was available. I agreed to switch. Upon arrival near that second address, the agent was available via mobile phone. Fortunately, I was with a friend who had mobile service and could call her otherwise I would have been walking around the block because the entrance, as I said above, was not 'on the street' but inside a courtyard. I suggest a picture from the outside of the entrance to the elevators and one of the 'guard' shack where you get the key to the apartment.

"Unbeatable! Great location (near Gulshan 1 roundabout), huge self-contained apartments (80sqm), breakfast buffet and even a free airport pick-up included. I think all rooms have bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, dining area and living room with flatscreen TV. Staff were outstanding, especially Anisur"

"The staff was delightful and exceptionally helpful. We were able to interact easily with several of them, including Rosita, who was the manager during our stay. The breakfast was amazing, individually served with eggs to order. It started with a large fruit plate each morning and included yogurt, eggs, toast, jams, a pitcher of fresh juice, a bottle of water, and hot water for coffee or tea. As for location, while quite a hike from the nearest beaches at Beau Vallon, there was a small rainforest right behind our building with a rushing brook coming down the mountainside. It was all very beautiful and the natural sounds were awesome. I've attached a few photos."

Only one small thing: I wish that the shower had a small barrier in the open space between the glass and the wall, to keep water from escaping into the otherwise spacious bathroom.

"Very comfortable three-bedroom house with excellent facilities - everything worked well (air conditioning, kitchen, washing machine, hot water, wifi, Netflix on TV). Good location with easy street parking. Beautiful flowers in the yard. We even got to enjoy the neighbor's cat, who stopped by for frequent visits. Great place to relax!"

"Most everything. Very good location and we enjoyed our stay so much, we would love to go back next year for a months stay."

Getting through the gate was hard the first time but easy after that. The chairs were very uncomfortable to sit on.

Some aspects could improve : tennis equipment available for their tennis court, towels a bit old , free shuttle bus instead of charging for it ( airport is very near) .

"We stayed here before and after our trip to Legoland. Host was very kind and helpful. Easy check-in and checkout. Private parking space. Studio Apartament was cozy. Some books and games available. Also a Nespresso coffee machine and capsules , and tea as well. There are some really good bakeries nearby, ideal for breakfast and sweets."

Cleaning was done only on surface (superficial). Studio appartment is rather small. Quite expensive for what it offers

There were stairs to our room. We had to carry a heavy piece of luggage up to the room - would not recommend. The floors are made of wood planks that are not sealed. There is definitely opportunity for critters to enter throught the floor boards. Nothing happened for us, but there is this potential.

"A safe, family-friendly resort with a clean, quiet atmosphere and a private pool. Our spacious suite had an amazing ocean view and was clean. The elevator was quick, and the customer service was warm and wonderful. Plus, the air conditioning worked perfectly!"

What we noticed could be improved: One of the bathroom taps wasn’t functioning properly and tended to spray water when turned on. A couple of doors seemed to be rubbing against the floor, possibly due to some sagging.

You can hear the neighborhood dogs and other apartments’ tenants during your stay, but that can’t be helped. As long as you can sleep with a little noise, this place is a gem!

"It was a great location in Cobbs Cross, peaceful and quiet but close enough to walk to English Harbour and access the restaurants and bars there. The verandah was excellent with beautiful views of the harbour and the sounds of the tropical birds and tree frogs. Very clean and well equipped apartment, even with a cooler to take to the beach, which was useful. The bedroom was air conditioned which was great for sleeping. Danilo and Orietta were very welcoming and available for any questions. We would definitely stay there again when we return to Antigua!"

The bed is absolutely awful. After trying to sleep the first night and not I move to the futon in the living room w all my bed pillows. I didn't sleep well at all throughout my stay. I am athletic and was diving so having proper sleep is a must.

"I had such a great time at the Buttercup Airbnb! The staff was amazing—by the end of my 8-day stay, I honestly felt like I had gained another family. The place was spotless, and everything was even cleaner and nicer than I expected. I also really appreciated how they checked in on me regularly to make sure I was comfortable. The only funny part was the roosters—they made it their mission to wake me up every morning! But honestly, it just became part of the experience, and it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed my stay. I’d definitely go back again! It was a delightful stay!"

"This is a very quiet, clean and confortable place one bloc from the national hospital. It is even possible to cook with private kitchenette with bridge and sink in the room. Room is fully equipped with tv and sitting space. Very good value."
