"Absolutely lovely guesthouse in the city a block from the waterfront--a few minutes drive from anywhere in the capital. Easy street (sidewalk really, lol) parking right outside the gate. Room was spacious and comfortable with great A/C. The pool and lounge areas were wonderful to rest and reset, and the breakfast was good. All the staff were kind and helpful, and I had a great stay. I would return again!"

The wifi wasn't very consistent, but I had a local sim chip, so I was fine.

"I have stayed here a number of times when visiting San Jose, it is a convenient location for shuttle pick up, San Jose museums and shopping."

The central area of San Jose is neglected by the city and not kept up well. That is not the fault of the hotel but it makes walking around the area less than delightful. I wish the hotels would pressure the city to maintain the area better to make it more appealing for tourists and residents alike. I am a retired Gringa living in Costa Rica and usually stay here when I am in San Jose.

"Had an absolutely wonderful time here. A spacious room right next to Lake Taupo, with TV and a terrace - what more could one ask for? I very much recommend taking the breakfast as well - simple, but delicious."

The toilet broke during our stay - but we fixed it ourselves!

The hotel is next to the freeway, so avoid rooms close to front due to constant traffic noise.

"We loved the cave rooms and beautiful terrace. Staff helped book different trips/excursions. Gave recommendations for which hikes to do, in case you want to save some money while seeing the most beautiful scenery"

"The place was well kept and we really appreciated the detail and personal touch of the facilities including the visiting Lemurs! The food was excellent with creative and new menu being developed daily. We loved the fresh bread daily and crepes, we definitely looked forward to our meals every time! Patrick and Naik were attentive to all our needs and made us feel very comfortable!"

The water pressure was not consistent. At some point we could not bath because there was no water coming from the shower but if you wake up early enough you re okay.
