"You literally only have to cross a small road and you are right on the beach, less than 100 meters from the Indian Ocean - and just a short walk to Tofo market with all the nice restaurants and bars. Perfect location, not too busy or noisy. Great value for money, friendly staff."

"I came from Mumbai to Addis Ababa, then took a bus from Addis to Bahir Dar. This hostel was a gem with the value you pay. I asked them to buy the return bus ticket, pick up to the bus station in the early morning and they happily did. The best part was they helped me get an excellent tour package of the Lake Tana and the Blue Niles Waterfall, with very good price for one day, as I was tight with my schedule. The tour went very well with excellent and safe vehicles (car and boat), great guides, and all important places. The room I got has a queen size bed, shower and toilet attached, with good privacy and cleanliness. I stayed two nights and will do it again when I have a chance.Please support this property as well as the Bahir Dar. They are waiting and very happy to serve you to the best of their abilities."

It was quite cold in the room, maybe it would be a good idea to provide extra blankets :)

I didn't like the messiness of the place. Overall quite chaotic building with construction sites and no comfortable shared space. There is a great rooftop, but is not really used and fully available for guests yet.

I had a couple of noisy roommates who snored but otherwise it was ok.

"The location is in a quiet neighborhood. Public transport will tell you to take airport direct 2 (TD2,3) and get off at the Miller stop (it seem sketch at first bc very little ppl walking around, especially at night, but it really is a safe location and cozy spot). It's only a 20 min walk away from Sliema and St. Julians. Everywhere in Malta is very safe btw."

Didn't love the front key, took me a minute to use the big key (but you learn fast). Can't control this - but ppl snoring in my room is always hard for me (but i prlly also snore lol).

"Riad is beautiful and is very comfortable with all kinds of amenities. You can easily spend the whole day inside if you wanna take a break from the hustle bustle. I took services like facial massage and full body massage. They were very well delivered. The staff is friendly and helping. Definitely recommend it."

Rooms on the lower floors can be slightly noisy since they’re right in from of the pool but the people were very respectful so didn’t have much trouble.

"Just that the main gate gets locked and you will have to call or knock until you are heard. So don't stay out for long at nights."

"The location sits on main public transit options; Bus stop, METRO station, and one street away a main connecting street offering additional public bus stops & connections. A short walk uphill lands you at a central interception from which all directions of pedestrian pathways are possible to explore the city and sights."

Food shops & markets in the district are regionally expensive. The area for basic cold food storage and microwave reheating of food needs a serious update. For the number of guests the refrigerator is way to small. The small microwave does not fit common delivery food packages, or a standard dinner plate for reheating.

"The beds were clean and had mosquito nets. The room was spacious with only 4 beds. There's an AC in the room and 2 fans. The location is good; it's like a village on the western side of the city. It is safe even walking at night. There are small shops nearby. You can buy basic stuff and cook in the fully equipped kitchen. The beaches are 15-20 minutes walking or 5 min by tuktuk. The fast ferry to the airport is just 10 min walking distance. The staff were ok and helpful. The view from the balcony is great. It's the cheapest place in town. In fact it's the only hostel in Freetown on Booking.com. They have a generator in case of power cuts. The wifi is fast."

The toilet needs a bit of cleaning and maintenance. There's no hot water and the water pressure is weak. The generator is right under the dorm window; very loud. But still; you get what you pay for. A basic hotel in the area is 3-4 times more expensive.

"The security and cleanliness were phenomenal. I also loved having a large area to hang out and relax or grab a drink without going down to a pub was wonderful. Staff were always helpful and kind as well!"

Prices were a little expensive, but that was totally understandable given the high quality of the place and the amenities that were provided.

Cleanliness could be better Room cleaning and towel change only every three days, but towels were changed upon request
